Heavy Civil Construction Manager

Position Overview

The Heavy Civil Construction Manager will oversee and manage large-scale civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders and leading a team of professionals to deliver high-quality infrastructure that meets project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of heavy civil construction projects from planning to execution.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports and budgetary considerations.
  • Lead project meetings and facilitate communication among team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges in project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction management.
  • Proven experience in project management and infrastructure development or in transportation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Primavera.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Salary : $135,000 - $160,000
