We are seeking a talented Hardware Engineer to design and develop innovative hardware solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware engineering principles and experience with schematic design and FPGA development. This role is crucial for supporting our projects in various applications, ensuring that our hardware meets both performance and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop hardware systems including schematics and layouts
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate hardware and firmware functionalities
- Conduct testing and validation of hardware components and systems
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and implement effective solutions
- Document design processes and maintain accurate records of hardware specifications
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback to team members
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in hardware design
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a Hardware Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency in schematic design and FPGA development
- Knowledge of hardware design tools such as CAD and Mentor Graphics
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with programming in Python and understanding of analog and digital circuits
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Security clearance (Secret Clearance) is a plus
- Experience with DoD projects and knowledge of processors, memory, CPLD, and microcontrollers is highly desirable
