This Manufacturing Process Engineering Manager will personally lead and oversee manufacturing process improvements, ensuring optimal production efficiency, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory standards, focusing on driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing engineering projects, and optimizing manufacturing processes to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the process engineering team to ensure effective supervision and development of staff.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Optimize manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Conduct time studies and develop manufacturing cell designs for improved workflow and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols.
- Facilitate and lead Kaizen events to drive process improvements.
- Manage automated equipment and material handling/processing systems for increased efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in manufacturing process engineering management.
- Black-belt certification in Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodology.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Extensive experience in project management; PMP certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis and process optimization techniques.
- Experience with SPC, DOE, Kanban, and time studies in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in managing manufacturing automation and automated equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and develop a team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
