The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing and inspecting a wide variety of fire alarm systems for large commercial buildings. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety of our clients and compliance with national safety codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Test & inspect fire alarm systems according to specifications and codes.
- Conduct inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire alarm equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm systems in the field.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent service.
- Document all service and maintenance activities, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Stay current with national fire protection standards and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in fire alarm systems preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime, as needed
- Willingness to work on-call, as needed
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and inspection processes.
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and OSHA regulations.
- NICET certification in fire alarm systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
