Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions.
- Prepare and submit detailed proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with specifications and deadlines.
- Evaluate the costs of different construction materials and labor, making recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of estimated costs and provide reports for project tracking and analysis.
- Assist in negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on earthwork and concrete projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
