The EHS Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within the organization. This role aims to create a safe workplace while minimizing environmental impact and ensuring all operations adhere to relevant laws and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations and environmental laws.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Manage hazardous materials and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures are followed.
- Develop and lead training programs on health and safety topics for employees.
- Prepare and maintain reports and documentation related to EHS compliance and incidents.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility in manufacturing processes
- Proven experience in EHS management, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and hazardous materials management.
- Strong understanding of health and safety management systems and emergency response planning.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills to effectively document and communicate EHS issues and policies.
- Safety certification (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus
