Director of Data Science (Remote)

Title: Director of Data Science 
Location: REMOTE (US Based)
Salary: $250,000 - $300,000

Founded in 2019 we've grown to a 150 organization with approximately 20 to 30 team members supporting data, engineering, and product functions across its distributed workforce. We build advanced marketing intelligence and measurement technology, helping ecommerce and digital brands understand customer behavior, optimize advertising spend, and drive profitable growth. Our team develops large scale attribution systems, experimentation frameworks, and machine learning models that power customer facing analytics and insights. For the Director of Data Science position you will lead the expansion of a multi pillar data science organization driving scientific rigor, production quality & execution across modeling, experimentation & AI driven insights.

What You Will Be Doing 

• Lead execution of the data science roadmap across media mix modeling, incrementality, causal attribution, experimentation & applied machine learning initiatives
• Build, scale & manage a high performing data science team including: hiring, coaching, and developing senior ICs and technical leads
• Establish repeatable standards for model validation, deployment readiness & scientific governance in partnership with engineering
• Drive cross functional initiatives from problem framing through production launch, ensuring alignment with product, engineering & customer facing teams
• Translate complex statistical outputs into customer facing features, insights, and enterprise grade solutions that support marketing optimization

What You Need for this Position

• 8 years of experience in data science or machine learning engineering, including 5 years managing teams of senior ICs
• Strong foundation in statistical modeling, causal inference, experimentation, and applied ML, with the ability to guide technical direction in production environments
• Proven experience hiring, developing, and retaining high performing data science talent in fast moving SaaS or startup environments
• Demonstrated success leading multi team technical initiatives under ambiguity, with clear prioritization and communication of tradeoffs
• Experience deploying production ML or DS systems in partnership with engineering, plus familiarity with modern data platforms and MLOps practices
