Position Overview
The Sr. Installation Technician is responsible for the successful installation and commissioning of audio-visual systems, ensuring they meet client specifications and quality standards. This role involves working closely with project managers, clients, and installation teams to deliver high-quality A/V solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission AMX control systems, video conferencing equipment, distributed audio systems, and digital signage solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality control checks on installed systems to ensure functionality and performance.
- Provide technical support during the installation process, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Document installation processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and client communication.
- Participate in team meetings, providing input on project progress and necessary adjustments.
- Lead small installation teams on larger projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Proven experience in A/V installation, specifically with AMX control systems and video conferencing.
- Strong knowledge of distributed audio systems and digital signage technology.
- Familiarity with Creston systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent troubleshooting and technical support skills.
- Ability to design and implement system designs that meet client needs.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Strong networking skills and understanding of DSP programming are advantageous.
- Experience in equipment calibration and low voltage installations is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with clients, ensuring satisfaction and clear communication.
- Strong documentation skills to maintain records of installations and modifications.
- Ability to lead teams and ensure quality control throughout installations.
