We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs and providing accurate estimates to support our commercial, aviation, and transportation construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring financial efficiency and project success through effective budgeting and cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Determine the necessary resources and project timelines for successful completion.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather and verify project information.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects in the aviation and transportation sectors.
- Utilize estimation software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in cost estimation.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns and propose mitigation strategies.
- Review and adjust estimates as necessary to reflect changes in project scope or materials.
- Assist in the preparation of change orders and provide pricing strategies for project variations.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of estimating experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Estimator in commercial, aviation, or transportation construction.
- Strong understanding of estimation techniques and construction costs.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with estimation software such as Accubid, Procore, or HCSS.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
