Key Responsibilities
- Design and draft control system layouts using AutoCAD, including wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and schematics.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOM) for control panels, field devices, and system components.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field technicians to ensure control systems meet project specifications and timelines.
- Program and configure control systems including PLCs, DDCs, and building automation systems (BAS).
- Support installation and commissioning of control systems on job sites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues during construction and post-installation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Maintain documentation and records for all control system designs and revisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in control systems engineering, preferably in mechanical contracting or HVAC.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for control system design.
- Strong understanding of BOM creation, component selection, and panel design.
- Familiarity with control platforms such as Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, or Trane.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and mechanical systems integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with Revit or other BIM tools.
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks protocols.
- Certifications in control systems or automation platforms.
