The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various manufacturing processes. This role aims to optimize production efficiency and ensure the reliability of automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for manufacturing processes.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control solutions into manufacturing operations.
- Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure performance and compliance.
- Create and maintain documentation for control system designs and modifications.
- Assist in the design of control panels and selection of control devices.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Controls Engineer in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc).
- Experience with HMI development and SCADA systems (Wonderware, Ignition).
- Familiarity with robotic systems (ABB, KUKA) and programming.
- Solid understanding of machine control, I/O, and Ethernet networking.
- Working knowledge in AutoCAD for control panel design.
- Experience with variable frequency drives (VFD) and servo systems.
- Ability to work with sensors and vision systems, including barcode scanners is a plus!
