Controls/Automation Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controls/Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems and automation solutions for our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems and automation solutions using Allen Bradley and ControlLogix platforms.
- Program and configure PLCs and HMIs to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Conduct system commissioning and validation for new and existing control systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to create and update P&ID, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Implement SCADA solutions using iFix and Wonderware for real-time data monitoring and control.
- Perform data exchange between control systems and enterprise systems using SQL and other protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Support validation efforts in compliance with pharmaceutical and manufacturing regulations.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and documentation for control systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Controls Engineer or Automation Engineer in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, ControlLogix) and HMI development.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems like iFix and Wonderware.
- Experience with control system design, commissioning, and validation processes.
- Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in reading and creating P&ID, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
