Title: Commercial/Construction Litigation Associate

Compensation: Base $140K-$180K (DOE) $10K bonus @1950

Location: Onsite - Houston, TX

Position Overview
We are a national firm seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation or Construction Litigation Associate to join our office in Houston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly in commercial and construction law, and will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, providing strategic legal counsel, and representing clients in various legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and represent clients in commercial and construction litigation cases
• Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and motions
• Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal summaries
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and trials
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective legal solutions
• Negotiate settlements and manage case strategy with opposing counsel
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
• Assist in the development of litigation strategies and case assessments

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice in TX
• 3 years of experience in commercial and construction litigation
• Strong knowledge of contract law and litigation processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in legal research and case management software
