Compensation: Base $140K-$180K (DOE) $10K bonus @1950

Position Overview
We are a national firm seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation or Construction Litigation Associate to join our office in Houston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly in commercial and construction law, and will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, providing strategic legal counsel, and representing clients in various legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and represent clients in commercial and construction litigation cases
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and motions
- Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal summaries
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and trials
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective legal solutions
- Negotiate settlements and manage case strategy with opposing counsel
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
- Assist in the development of litigation strategies and case assessments
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice in TX
- 3 years of experience in commercial and construction litigation
- Strong knowledge of contract law and litigation processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software
