The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing detailed MEP models using BIM software, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary codes and standards. This position plays a critical role in the preconstruction phase, collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs for commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed MEP models using Revit and AutoCAD software.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs meet project specifications and building codes.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation for all designs and revisions.
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within the MEP systems.
- Assist in the preparation of construction drawings and specifications.
- Support the preconstruction team with accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and building codes to ensure compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in MEP design and modeling, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM software.
- Experience with ductwork and piping design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Competitive Pay: $80k - $110k
