Due to growth, we are currently seeking to add 1-2 new Audit Supervisors to our PA teams! The Audit Manager for State and Local Government will oversee audit engagements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing high-quality service to our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise audit engagements, plan, coordinator and oversee engagements, perform audit procedures
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and GASB standards.
- Lead the planning and execution of audit procedures, including risk assessments and internal controls evaluations.
- Review workpapers, reports and audit files, providing feedback and guidance to audit staff.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients, fostering strong client relationships.
- Stay current with relevant regulations and best practices in state and local government auditing.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- 4 years of experience in audit, preferably in public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of state and local government regulations and auditing standards.
- Experience with manufacturing and/or distribution clients preferred.
- Proficiency in reviewing financial statements and workpapers.
- Familiarity with internal controls assessment.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop audit strategies.
