What You'll Do
This role is centered on leadership, technical mastery, and strategic client management:
- Strategic Engagement Leadership: Oversee and manage the complete audit lifecycle-from initial planning and risk assessment through fieldwork, quality review, and final wrap-up-for a diverse client portfolio.
- Client Partnership: Serve as the primary, high-level client contact, fostering strong, long-term relationships and acting as a trusted business advisor.
- Technical Authority: Review and approve financial statements and disclosures, ensuring adherence to GAAP and GAAS. Identify and resolve complex accounting and auditing issues.
- Team Development: Lead, manage, and mentor audit teams, providing continuous coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support to junior staff.
- Quality & Growth: Ensure all engagements meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Identify new service opportunities within existing client relationships and contribute to the firm's growth initiatives.
- Experience: 5 years of progressive audit experience within a public accounting firm, including prior experience successfully managing multiple engagements and teams.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Certification: Active CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Expertise: Strong technical knowledge and practical application of GAAP and GAAS.
- Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Tools: Proficiency with audit software (e.g., CCH) and Microsoft Office Suite.
