Position Overview
The Audit Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing audit engagements for government and not-for-profit clients. This role includes managing audit teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality audit services. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to provide strategic guidance and insights to clients while fostering strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements for government and not-for-profit entities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant auditing standards, including GASB.
- Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Review audit work papers and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Assist in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- 10 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on government and not-for-profit sectors.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards and regulations, particularly GASB.
- Proven experience in a senior management role, such as Director or Principal.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
