Associate, Editor - Pharma and Life Sciences
Location: 100% Remote (East Coast hours)
Position Overview
Support the editorial team in producing high-quality content for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
We need your copyeditor's eye for detail with content and design, strong proofreading skills, and the ability to conduct thorough life sciences research to ensure accuracy and relevance in all published materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Proofread and edit content and design for clarity, coherence, and consistency in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct research to verify facts and gather information pertinent to pharmaceutical topics.
- Assist in the creation of engaging content that adheres to publishing guidelines and best practices.
- Collaborate with editorial staff to ensure that all materials meet editorial standards.
- Support the development and implementation of editorial calendars and content strategies.
- Stay current on industry trends and developments in the pharmaceutical sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 2 years of professional proofreading and copyediting experience, within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, biotech domain - required.
- Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Excellent writing and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and social media platforms is a plus.
- Experience in content creation and copyediting is desirable.
