Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney specializing in Insurance Defense to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in the representation of clients in various general liability matters, providing expert legal counsel and support while managing a diverse caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the handling of general liability claims and cases, including but not limited to premises liability, products liability, auto accidents, and construction claims.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as required, representing clients effectively in all legal proceedings.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement effective litigation strategies for each case.
- Stay updated on current laws and regulations impacting general liability and related fields.
Qualifications
- Jurisdictional law license and admission to practice law.
- 1-3 years of experience in general liability law, including experience with commercial claims and litigation.
- Strong understanding of premises liability, products liability, auto, and construction claims.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work under pressure.
