The successful candidate will manage all phases of litigation, from investigation and discovery through trial and appeal. Matters will include a wide range of general defense work, such as insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, construction, and business litigation.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of general civil litigation matters independently and with team support
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices to develop case strategy and achieve favorable results
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Tennessee law license in good standing
- 3 years of general liability experience preferred
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
