- Own a caseload of complex civil defense files from inception through trial preparation, working with a high degree of independence
- Draft and argue substantive motions - including motions for summary judgment - before Florida state and federal courts
- Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses
- Lead written discovery strategy: draft requests, responses, and objections tailored to each case's risk profile
- Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations with partner oversight and mentorship
- Serve as a strategic point of contact for corporate clients and insurance claims adjusters, delivering clear case assessments and settlement recommendations
- Collaborate with senior trial partners on jury trial preparation, including witness outlines and trial briefs
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
- Three plus years of civil litigation experience, with meaningful exposure to defense-side matters
- Demonstrated legal writing ability: briefs, motions, and memoranda that partners want to file
- Hands-on deposition experience (taking or defending)
- Prior background in insurance defense, general liability, product liability, or commercial casualty
- Experience managing a litigation file from case assignment through trial or resolution
Salary : $115,000 - $155,000
