You'll do!
- Case Management: Handle all phases of civil litigation defense, from inception through trial, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
- Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Client Interaction: Maintain and cultivate client relationships by providing regular updates, legal advice, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Court Appearances: Represent clients in court, including pre-trial hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Document Preparation: Prepare and review legal reports, contracts, briefs, and other documentation.
- Settlement Negotiation: Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, aiming for favorable outcomes while minimizing costs and risks.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Partners and other team members to strategize and execute case plans effectively.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- 2 years of experience in civil litigation defense.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage litigation cases from inception to resolution.
- Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: Employment and Labor Law, Personal Injury, Premises Liability, Product Liability, Construction Defects, Landlord/Tenant, Contracts/Commercial, and General Litigation.
