Assistant Estimator - Construction
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. The primary purpose of this role is to support the estimating department by assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the bidding process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects.
- Perform take offs and quantity surveys from project drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and senior estimators to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
- Maintain and update estimation databases and records.
- Participate in the preparation of bid proposals and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Support the team in the assessment of subcontractor bids and procurement of materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Construction Management or similar preferred.
- 3 years of proven experience in construction estimating.
- Strong skills in take offs and quantity surveying.
- Experience with construction estimating software and tools.
