The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of complex systems for spacecraft. This role requires a deep understanding of systems engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop systems for aerospace applications, specifically spacecraft.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate system designs.
- Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to enhance project outcomes.
- Create and review technical documentation including specifications and design reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of systems.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in design processes.
- Use software tools such as SolidWorks and Matlab for design and analysis tasks.
- Implement LabView for system testing and validation.
- Maintain compliance with security standards and certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in systems engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in FEA, MBSE, GD&T, SolidWorks, and/or Matlab.
- Experience with LabView and system testing methodologies.
- Security certification is a plus but eligibility is REQUIRED
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
