Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to financial services clients, including private equity and hedge funds
- Lead tax planning, structuring, and compliance engagements
- Interpret and apply complex federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Oversee the preparation and review of partnership and corporate tax returns
- Identify and mitigate tax risks while ensuring full regulatory compliance
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships at senior levels
- Drive business development initiatives, including sourcing new clients and expanding existing accounts
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff
- Collaborate across departments to deliver integrated client solutions
- Represent the firm through networking, industry events, and thought leadership
- Contribute to the overall growth strategy of the practice
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred (or required depending on level)
- 10 years of tax experience, with a strong focus on financial services
- Hands-on experience with:
- Private Equity / Hedge Fund
- Private Equity / Hedge Fund
- 10 years of extensive experience in tax, with a focus on employee benefits.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements for employee benefits.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations - Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development
