Reports To: Plant Manager, No subordinate report to’s.

Salary range: Salary is commensurate with experience.


Must have ISO14001 & 45001. Should be include examples of how they used for audits and compliance.


Job Summary:

This role ensures compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, manages required testing, leads incident investigations, and drives continuous improvement through updated work instructions, training, and daily engagement. This role is based onsite at the plant with 50% or greater time spent on the production floor to serve as lead on environmental, health and safety related initiatives and issues at the facility.

This role will grow into an EHS Manager title as the facility grows.


Duties and Requirements of the Job:

1. Develop and complete training on environmental, health, and safety related topics.

2. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.

3. Adheres to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.

4. Monitor regulatory changes and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.

5. Ensure work instructions reflect current legal requirements and best practices in environmental and safety

management.

6. Lead incident investigations in collaboration with relevant departments.

7. Ensure timely submission of root cause analyses and corrective action plans following incidents.

8. Manage the Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure comprehensive conformance to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, company policies, procedures, and established objectives and targets.

9. Conduct required environmental testing, including stormwater, drinking water, and air quality sampling.

10. Monitors objectives and targets with associated tracking methods.

11. Monitor and report utility usage including waste, electricity, water, and natural gas.

12. Maintain accurate records and input data into Credit 360 to support sustainability goals and regulatory reporting.

13. Perform risk assessments and hazard analyses on equipment and processes.

14. Monitor chemical inventories and manage SDS documentation.

15. Support the creation and maintenance of emergency response plans and spill prevention protocols.

16. Track and report on EHS performance KPI’s.

17. Serve as a point of contact for environmental and safety matters.

18. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement safety improvements.

19. Foster a culture of accountability and proactive risk management.

20. Ensure strict adherence to serious 7 safety policies.

21. Lead daily safety walks across the facility to proactively identify hazards, reinforce safe behaviors, and engage

with employees on safety concerns.

22. Manage the Cority incident tracking system to log, monitor, and close out safety events and corrective actions.

23. Organize and lead monthly safety committee meetings to review incidents, discuss safety concerns, and

promote employee involvement in EHS initiatives.

24. Other duties as assigned.

Training, Knowledge and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, or related field (preferred).

2. 5 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.

3. Proven experience managing EMS programs and ISO 14001/ISO 45001 compliance.

4. Strong understanding of regulatory testing, environmental, and OSHA compliance.

5. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.


Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:

1. Approximately 50% of time will be spent on the production floor conducting safety walks, inspections, and

employee engagement.

2. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods during facility inspections and safety walks.

3. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

4. Comfortable working in industrial environments including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

5. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend, kneel, and reach as needed during inspections.

6. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
