Looking for pharmacy work with real purpose? We’re seeking a Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services at a VA medical center in Phoenix. You’ll review medication orders, dispense prescriptions, counsel patients, and partner with providers to keep our Veterans safe and well cared for.

What You’ll Do
- -Review and verify medication orders for dosing, duplications, contraindications, allergies, and interactions
- -Dispense medications prescribed by physicians and other authorized practitioners
- -Identify medication therapy problems and recommend alternatives within formulary guidelines
- -Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and interactions
- -Answer questions about durable medical equipment and home healthcare supplies
- -Enter and verify orders in VistA and CPRS
- -Maintain accurate medication records and inventory controls
- -Ensure secure handling and dispensing of controlled substances
- -Follow VA regulations, Joint Commission standards, and professional standards of care
What You’ll Need
- -U.S. pharmacy education and a current Pharmacist license
- -Ability to evaluate medication orders and communicate clinical recommendations clearly
- -Strong attention to detail and patient counseling skills
- -Professional communication with patients, providers, and staff
- -Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts based on facility needs
- -Ability to work onsite
Nice to Have
- At least 24 months of relevant pharmacy experience within the past 36months.
