PARTY CHIEF
CWR is a growing road construction company. We are currently seeking an experienced Party Chief for our local operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating the activity, effective performance, training, and safety of all members of a field survey party
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of survey computations, types of surveys and field operations in construction site / heavy civil layout
- Supervises all survey crew members performing construction stakeout, and surveys including topographic, boundary and utility
- Prepare topographic and contour maps of land surveyed
- Maintain quality of all measurements
- Record all required data collected and calculations made and review for correctness
- Maintain equipment and vehicles used by surveying crews
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in heavy civil construction surveying and FDOT stake out experience required
- Trimble machine control experience and GPS layout knowledge is a plus
- General knowledge and understanding of ALTA standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license
- Employer conducts drug screening and background check
