Description:
The individual we are seeking will oversee and manage claims that fall under a construction program. A deep familiarity with New York City Labor Law is essential, alongside a rich background in construction claims and the capacity to effectively liaise with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and legal defense teams. It will be necessary to manage, assess, and evaluate all claims within our claims management system. Guiding our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) is crucial to ensure adherence to best practices regarding claims. Close collaboration with the Head of Claims is required to guarantee that client claims are managed both effectively and properly. Building strong, professional connections with TPAs and defense attorneys is vital. Coordination with defense panels concerning ongoing claims is necessary, alongside ensuring timely updates and communication. Monitoring the activities of the TPA is important to confirm compliance with our established guidelines, protocols, and performance standards. You will also be responsible for overseeing and aiding with all tasks related to claims to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and conformity with program requirements.
Requirements:
Candidates should have over five years of experience in handling construction claims. A solid understanding of NYC Labor Law, especially as it relates to construction, is required. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite is necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills are important. Candidates must possess robust analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills. The ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively with management and internal teams will be essential.
