Systematic Trader

A leading Global hedge fund has a thrilling opportunity available for a Systematic Trader to join their NYC office.

You will be responsible for managing the daily execution of quantitative systematic trading strategies, making real-time decisions to mitigate risk, adjusting to changing market conditions, reacting to trading patterns, and handling various alerts from our sophisticated monitoring system. Collaborating with strategy developers and technology experts is essential to improve our trading platform and seize business opportunities effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers, researchers, and technology teams to oversee the daily operations of our systematic trading platform.
• Foster business growth by gaining a thorough understanding of market microstructure, products, regulations, and our trading platform (including new regions/venues/products), and defining new technology requirements.
• Drive continuous enhancements of our top-tier trading platform through design and implementation.
• Identify trends in market and strategy performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
• Develop and implement trading playbooks to manage macro event risks effectively.
• Take ownership of risk management measures and oversee trading activities.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Finance, Economics, or Business from a leading institution.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic decision-making skills, capable of maintaining a holistic view to make informed and justifiable decisions in a dynamic trading environment.
• Previous experience in electronic trading.
• Keen attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven self-starter with the drive and proactive mindset to learn and adapt to achieve desired outcomes.
