What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Intern position at CVR Energy, Inc.?
POSITION SUMMARY
The intern will be introduced to Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory Management and Supplier Life Cycle Process.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- College students studying Supply Chain Management, or related areas who are entering into their Junior or Senior years at an accredited College or University
- Cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other related platforms/systems
- Working knowledge of Oracle, Maximo, SAP helpful
- Working knowledge of Procurement / Inventory Management helpful
- Strong analytical skills
- Previous internships/work and/or coursework experience in Supply Chain / Engineering helpful
- Out of the box thinking, problem solving, relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English, oral and written required.
- Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs.
- Willingness to travel to CVR plant sites for hands-on experience and inter-action.
- Provide an end of internship presentation of what was learned and can be utilized in your future in Supply Chain Management
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
During the internship, the intern will participate in the following:
- Regularly Communicate with supervisor work progress, concerns, and questions
- The intern will be exposed to the whole organization, business processes and corporate projects.
