PAY RANGE: $120,000 to $135,000 base salary plus eligible to receive a bonus based on individual and company performance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
CV Resources, in partnership with our client (a Consumer Products Goods (CPG) company), seeks an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join their Finance and Accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will support a rapidly growing FP&A function and play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analytics. This is a highly technical, Excel-driven role.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly forecasts, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform variance analysis to compare actual results against forecasts and budgets, providing actionable insights.
- Support long-range financial planning and scenario modeling to guide strategic business decisions.
- Assist the Head of FP&A in leading the annual budget, reforecasts, and long-term plans across corporate and sales & marketing budgets.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Gather and integrate data from diverse sources, including ERP, POS, and other platforms.
- Analyze data using Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Track performance metrics and generate ad hoc analysis and financial reporting.
- Present proposals and insights based on data analysis.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improving efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Support financial system upgrades and automation initiatives to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Ensure internal controls and compliance with financial policies and best practices.
- Assist in the development of financial tools and models to support decision-making.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable major.
- 5 years of true FP&A experience (financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis).
- Proficient understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Consumer Products Goods (CPG) experience, current or past.
Preferred
- MBA.
- Three-statement model experience (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) built into one dynamically connected financial model.
- Beauty/cosmetics experience.
