Senior Accountant

CV Resources is partnering with the subsidiary of a $20 billion dollar corporation to hire a Senior Accountant in Woburn.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys partnering with operations, analyzing manufacturing and production costs, and influencing business decisions through meaningful financial insights. In this highly visible role, you'll collaborate closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams while taking ownership of budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, cost analysis, variance reporting, and internal controls. Your work will directly support operational efficiency, profitability, and strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
- Partner with plant operations, production, and leadership teams to support strategic decision-making
- Lead and support budgeting and forecasting processes for plant operations
- Analyze financial statements and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
- Monitor manufacturing costs including materials, labor, and overhead, with detailed variance analysis
- Support inventory accounting, reconciliations, cycle counts, and fixed asset tracking
- Identify cost savings opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and SOX requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (MBA a plus)
- 3 years of accounting experience within manufacturing, plant accounting, or cost accounting environments strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with cost accounting, inventory, standard costing, and variance analysis highly desired
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar reporting tools a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
