A rapidly growing clean transportation company is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and inventory-related activities across a dynamic and expanding operation. This role will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of equipment, materials, parts, services, and operational supplies that support fleet, infrastructure, and business operations. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, expediting, and supplier performance management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
- Solicit and evaluate bids, quotations, and proposals from suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and service agreements to achieve cost savings and favorable commercial terms.
- Create and manage purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation within procurement and ERP systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and finance teams to forecast procurement needs.
- Track supplier deliveries and proactively resolve supply chain disruptions, shortages, or quality issues.
- Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and supplier consolidation.
- Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and assist with vendor qualification and onboarding processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support capital projects, facility operations, fleet maintenance, and infrastructure development activities.
- Generate procurement reports and performance metrics for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes, contracts, and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency with ERP, procurement, or inventory management systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
