CV Resources is partnering with a growing client in the family entertainment space to help them identify a Junior Controller to join their accounting operation. Our client is a multi-location business, operating venues across several states with continued expansion plans underway. This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable, growth-oriented organization where the accounting team plays a highly visible role in supporting executive leadership and operational growth.
The company is seeking either a Junior Controller or a strong Accounting Manager ready to step into a broader leadership role. This individual will become a key member of the finance team and will work directly with executive leadership on day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and cash management.
Position Overview:
The Junior Controller will oversee the company’s accounting operations across multiple entities and help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage monthly financial close processes across multiple entities
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
• Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Perform cash forecasting and support cash management initiatives
• Coordinate with external CPA firm on tax and accounting matters
• Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal processes
• Supervise and mentor accounting support staff
• Assist leadership with operational and financial analysis as needed
• Ensure accuracy and consistency within NetSuite and Excel-based reporting
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or Junior Controller preferred
• Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• CPA or CPA-track is a plus, but not required
