What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commodity / Purchasing Manager position at CV Resources?
CV Resources is partnering with a growing natural foods manufacturer to identify a Commodity Manager / Purchasing Manager to manage sourcing, procurement, and supply-chain operations during a critical busy season. This is an on-site opportunity in Eugene, OR, with an immediate start available.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage sourcing and procurement activities for high-value food ingredient categories
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms
- Monitor market trends and proactively mitigate supply-chain and sourcing risk
- Support demand planning, inventory management, and purchasing forecasts
- Conduct supplier evaluations, cost analyses, and procurement reporting
- Help improve procurement systems, workflows, and operational efficiencies
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of purchasing, sourcing, commodity management, and/or supply-chain experience
- MUST HAVE food manufacturing or food ingredient purchasing experience
- Experience managing complex product categories preferred
- Strong Excel and analytical skills; ERP experience required (X3/SIA a plus)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management abilities
- Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday in Eugene, OR
- Must pass a standard pre-employment drug screen
