What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of External Reporting position at CV Resources?
CV Resources is partnering with a large publicly traded global manufacturer in Everett, Washington in search for a Director of External Reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all external financial reporting, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, earnings releases, MD&A)
- Own quarterly disclosure process and cross-functional alignment on financial risks/opportunities
- Partner with Investor Relations on earnings materials and messaging
- Serve as SME on U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting matters
- Draft and review technical accounting memos (rev rec, M&A, debt, leases, equity, impairments, etc.)
- Monitor and implement new accounting standards (FASB, SEC, IASB as applicable)
- Maintain and standardize global accounting policies
- Ensure SOX 404(b) compliance in partnership with audit teams
- Support internal controls design, testing, and remediation efforts
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Treasury, global teams)
- Drive process improvements, automation, and finance transformation initiatives
- Schedule: Standard business hours; high intensity during close/reporting cycles
Qualifications:
- 10 years progressive accounting/audit experience
- Strong SEC reporting experience (public company environment)
- Deep technical accounting expertise (U.S. GAAP)
- Big 4 or equivalent public accounting background
- SOX 404(b) compliance experience
- Exceptional writing skills (disclosures, memos, executive summaries)
- Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.)
- Leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience
- Experience in multinational reporting environments
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
