Description Play a pivotal role in patient diagnostics and care. This position floats between Breezy Point Clinic, Super One Clinic, and Crosby Hospital. Every other Saturday required. Previous phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience preferred. A Day in the Life of a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will be fundamental in obtaining, processing, and analyzing biological specimens to aid in patient diagnosis and management. Your duties include setting up tests, ensuring accuracy in specimen handling, and performing both complex and simple lab tests. You will work under pressure and use effective problem-solving skills to adapt to varying conditions and urgent situations. Collaboration with laboratory technologists, supervisors, and healthcare providers is crucial for accurate sharing of findings and enhancing patient care. Additionally, adherence to strict regulatory standards and maintaining a clean and organized work environment are key responsibilities.
