A Day in the Life of a Pharmacy Technician - Crosby Clinic
Pharmacy Technicians in this retail setting are fundamental in managing the intricate details of prescription processing, ensuring both accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations. The role involves significant interaction with customers, providing service that is both informative and empathetic, addressing questions and directing queries to pharmacists when necessary. Technicians are expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical products and insurance protocols to assist patients effectively. Daily responsibilities also include managing patient medication synchronization, bubble packing, over the counter medication and front-end management. The work environment requires collaboration with a broad team, including pharmacists, healthcare providers, patients, and pharmacy managers, highlighting the necessity of strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Our pharmacy is more than just a place to pick up medications-it's a trusted resource for expert guidance, personalized counseling, and preventative care. Whether filling prescriptions, administering vaccines, or helping patients manage complex medication regimens, we are committed to making healthcare easier, safer, and more accessible for every person we serve. We work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are critical, ensuring that every prescription is filled correctly and that patients understand how to take their medications safely. Our team collaborates with providers, insurance companies, and patient support services to navigate medication approvals, provide cost-saving alternatives, and remove barriers to care. Education and Experience
Required
- Current MN driver's license
- Successfully complete the certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) course or possess certification within two years of hire
- Successful completion of the data entry and pharmacy nomenclature standards as administered by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Human Resources staff
- High School Diploma
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy (must show in good standing prior to first day)
Preferred
- Completion of a Certified Pharmacy Technician course
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range is listed above. Actual pay rate offered is determined based on experience in this role. Please be sure to include all applicable experience in your application.
