We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Medical / Surgical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role supports both general dermatology and procedural care, including assisting with patient visits, procedures, and clinical workflow.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly dependable, learns quickly, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care.
Prior medical experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with the right attitude, professionalism, and work ethic.
Position Overview
Medical / Surgical Assistants at CutisCo play an important role in maintaining efficient clinical flow and ensuring patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit.
This role includes both direct patient support and procedural assistance. Candidates should be comfortable working closely with providers, anticipating needs, and maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain histories
- Prepare patients for dermatology visits and procedures
- Assist providers during examinations and surgical procedures
- Scribe accurately during patient encounters
- Prepare instruments, supplies, and treatment rooms
- Perform wound care instructions and patient education
- Communicate biopsy results and follow-up instructions when assigned
- Assist with clinical documentation and chart preparation
- Support inventory and clinical organization
- Maintain clean and efficient exam and procedure rooms

Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Medical assistant experience preferred but not required
- Surgical or dermatology experience helpful but not required
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Comfortable working directly with patients and procedures
Compensation
- Training period: $16/hour
- After successful training completion: $21–23/hour, based on performance, skill development, and role progression
