Custom Steel Manufacturing is expanding and looking for a skilled Press Brake Technician to support our fabrication team. This role focuses on forming heavy steel components using manual press brake equipment, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and production quality from start to finish.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Set up and operate manual press brake equipment for steel fabrication
- Interpret shop drawings and specifications to produce accurate bends
- Choose and install proper tooling (punches, dies) for each job
- Adjust machines to meet angle, radius, and tolerance requirements
- Perform quality checks throughout production to ensure consistency
- Track production output, time, and materials
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Work independently while contributing to overall shop productivity
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating press brakes (heavy material preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Strong understanding of measurements and basic fabrication math
- Experience selecting tooling and adjusting for material behavior
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet throughout the shift
Pay & Schedule
- Hourly Pay: $25.00–$30.00 (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift (overtime available)
- Location: Belton, MO (on-site position)
