We're looking for a motivated and strategic Purchasing Manager to become a key member of our team. In this role, you'll work closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Manufacturing to source the materials, components, and equipment that bring our custom machines to life. You'll build strong supplier partnerships, negotiate competitive pricing, ensure on-time delivery, and play a direct role in keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

What You'll Do

• Partner with Engineering, Project Management, and Manufacturing to procure the materials and components needed to build custom automation systems, robotic cells, and specialized manufacturing equipment.
• Source machined parts, weldments, electrical components, pneumatics, motion control products, robotics, commercial components, and other custom equipment required for one-of-a-kind machine builds.
• Utilize our proprietary Job Manager software to manage purchasing activities, monitor supplier performance, track component deliveries, and support project schedules.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying new vendors that improve quality, pricing, and lead times.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms to maximize value while maintaining the quality standards our customers expect.
• Monitor project purchasing budgets and identify opportunities to reduce costs without sacrificing quality or delivery.
• Coordinate with project managers and production teams to ensure materials arrive on time and resolve supply issues before they impact production.
• Manage inventory levels for commonly used components while minimizing excess inventory.
• Continuously improve purchasing processes to support our growing business.

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing, automation, or custom equipment.
• Experience sourcing machined parts, fabricated weldments, electrical controls, pneumatic components, motion control products, robotics, and commercial off-the-shelf components.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to reduce costs, improve supplier performance, and manage vendor relationships.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple custom projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
