Job Summary
We are a growing sign manufacturing shop looking for a dependable Shop Helper to assist with fabrication and production. This is a hands‑on position with opportunities to learn valuable trade skills.
Job Duties Include:
- Assisting with cutting, welding, and fabrication of signs
- Grinding, cleaning, and finishing metal and sign components
- Loading/unloading materials and moving signs within the shop
- Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Supporting welders and fabricators as needed
Requirements:
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to use basic hand tools (or willingness to learn)
- Comfortable working in a shop environment
- Able to lift moderate weight and stand for extended periods
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings is a plus but not required
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and move throughout the shift comfortably
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly
- Willingness to learn new skills quickly and adapt to changing priorities
- Basic understanding of tools and machinery is advantageous but not mandatory
