Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist Tech / Front Office Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this dual role, you will support physical therapy practitioners by assisting with patient care, manual handling, and rehabilitation activities, while also managing front office operations to ensure smooth clinic flow. Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient transfer methods, manual handling, and rehabilitation care assistance, ensuring safe and effective patient movement.
• Support patient service efforts by preparing treatment areas, managing intake procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality throughout all interactions.
• Provide exceptional client communication by guiding patients through post-acute or outpatient care processes and answering basic questions about physiotherapy treatments.
• Handle front office duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, verifying insurance information, and maintaining clinic organization.
• Support clinical staff with physiotherapy-related tasks including setting up equipment, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols such as CPR and heavy lifting procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities using medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to support treatment plans.
• Collaborate with hospital or clinic teams to facilitate inpatient or outpatient care transitions while adhering to confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy role or supporting rehabilitation care is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient transfer methods is essential.
• Experience working in hospital medicine or outpatient clinics—especially in orthopedics, geriatrics, or sub-acute care—is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks required for patient transfers.
• Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications related to acute care or inpatient experience are a plus.
• Strong client communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality while managing sensitive health information.
