We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist Tech / Front Office Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists with patient transfer methods, manual handling, and rehabilitation care assistance, ensuring safe and effective patient movement.
- Support patient service efforts by preparing treatment areas, managing intake procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality throughout all interactions.
- Provide exceptional client communication by guiding patients through post-acute or outpatient care processes and answering basic questions about physiotherapy treatments.
- Handle front office duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, verifying insurance information, and maintaining clinic organization.
- Support clinical staff with physiotherapy-related tasks including setting up equipment, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols such as CPR and heavy lifting procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities using medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to support treatment plans.
- Collaborate with hospital or clinic teams to facilitate inpatient or outpatient care transitions while adhering to confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy role or supporting rehabilitation care is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient transfer methods is essential.
- Experience working in hospital medicine or outpatient clinics—especially in orthopedics, geriatrics, or sub-acute care—is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks required for patient transfers.
- Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications related to acute care or inpatient experience are a plus.
- Strong client communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality while managing sensitive health information.
