Residential Architectural Drafter

We are currently accepting applications for a Residential Architectural Drafter to work in our Meridian, Idaho office.

YOU MUST HAVE RESIDENTIAL DRAFTING EXPERIENCE (CAD)

Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience working in an architectural office doing RESIDENTIAL drafting work (CAD). Your duties will be working with staff in creating and reproducing custom home plans and the development through the construction document phases.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Drafting Wizard!!!

· 3-5-years of RESIDENTIAL CAD experience,

· Proficient knowledge and use of AutoCAD or other compatible program that you like

· Creative at coming up with ideas and problem solving

· Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings

· Proficient on computers and comfortable navigating server directories

· Be willing to learn

· Have a positive attitude and be highly motivated

· Possess excellent analytical skills and ability to problem solve

· Be organized and have a strong attention to detail

· Excellent verbal, written, phone and interpersonal skills

· Strong analytic and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume work environment

· Work independently under minimal supervision

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Drafting of Residential Construction Plans

· Working with the owner to find the most cost-effective options for plans

· Drafting Site Plans

· Researching Building Department Requirements

· Troubleshooting Structural Issues

· Following up on information requests from potential clients, owner and other staff.

· Read and interpret architectural details

· Create, revise, and finalize drawings for approval by clients

· Prioritize all work by due dates and direction of sales and production managers

· Produce detailed drawings in CAD programs in a timely manner

· Various other tasks as assigned as seen fit

· As-Building work of finished product

· Understanding basic civil engineering requirements and standards

· Work directly with the owner of the company in establishing processes for tracking, submitting and obtaining permits.

· Will be responsible for overseeing additional staff drafters and creating processes for the effective and timely delivery of plan design.
