Duties/Skills:
HR Management Support
- Contribute to implementing human resource strategies and programs.
- In conjunction with and under the general direction of HR Management development, manage and/or administer the organization’s compensation, recruitment, training, organization development, and employee relations programs.
- Provide people management consultation and administration including annual compensation reviews, performance reviews, benefits and payroll enquiries.
- Provide support across all HR operational processes, ensuring quality, effectiveness and compliance with legislation.
- Use relevant information, data and reports to recommend policy and process improvements.
- Participate in or support the implementation of Corporate and Site initiatives or projects.
- Provide monthly reports to Finance as needed and across organizational departments
- Strong employment law knowledge, insure compliance with employment laws (e.g. FMLA, ADA, FLSA).
HR Processes
- Help develop and promote feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes.
- Contribute to defining clear roles and responsibilities and streamlined internal HR processes.
- Support effective and proactive use of people management practices and systems and provide value added reporting enabling managers to make more effective, fact-based and timely decisions.
- Manual Onboarding of new hires in collaboration with the payroll/benefits specialist for system onboarding
- Coordinate and conduct recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees in conjunction with department heads.
- Maintain job descriptions and incentive program as applicable
- Manage and coordinate employee performance evaluation process.
- Perform compensation analysis as needed.
- Serve as designated point of contact for company-wide communications.
- Maintain employee handbook.
- Serve as administrator of company policies.
- Oversee employee time off tracking system, including leaves of absence.
- Ensure SEDEX audit compliance in conjunction with Safety/Facilities colleagues
- Ensure Workmen Compensation in conjunction with EHS incident reporting
Employee Relations
- Provide advice to managers and employees on employee relations matters including performance management, career development, disciplinary actions and organizational decisions.
- Consults with the business on Employee Relation issues and ensure key HR business processes are implemented effectively (e.g. performance management, annual compensation reviews, learning and development).
- Participate in meetings and Employee Representative groups e.g. Health & Safety Committees where applicable.
- Handle employee relations issues with tact and professionalism, employing conflict management techniques when necessary.
Legal & Compliance
- Provide interpretation and guidance on human resources policies and employment law.
- Ensure organizational compliance with employment law and implementation of new legal requirements.
- Ensure organizational compliance on matters of occupational health; in collaboration with the occupational health department and local management team provide support on employee’s medical issues/restrictions.
- Inform and advise managers and staff about relevant legislation, employee relations policies and practices.
- Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA standards, and workers' compensation regulations through diligent policy enforcement.
Skills
- Strong understanding of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and workers' compensation procedures.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, recruiting strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with performance management systems and training & development best practices.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in data entry tasks.
- Knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP Total Source/Workforce Now for payroll/benefits administration support.
- Strong organizational skills complemented by administrative experience in HR functions.
Pay: $102,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
