Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of motorcoaches, entertainer coaches, sprinter vans, school buses, generators, trailers and shuttle buses. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates efficiently, safely, and reliably across various operational environments across the United States. Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections
- Emissions/electrical diagnostics
- HVAC diagnostics
- Mechanical repairs
- Transmission and differential services
- Air brake services
- Engine/transmission replacements
- Utilize supplied schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues
- Road calls
- Road test fleet vehicles
- Execute tire, suspension, steering, shocks and brake repairs to maintain safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance schedules while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain shop organization and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and automotive diagnostics.
- Strong electrical diagnosis skills
- Ability to operate heavy machinery including motorcoaches, vans, school buses and forklifts
- Vermont inspection license (training included if not licensed)
- CDL (training included if not licensed)
- Air brake certification (training included if not certified)
- 609 a/c certification (training included if not certified)
- Knowledge of air brake systems, alignment procedures, HVAC systems for vehicles/equipment, shocks & struts replacement.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid driver license
- Reliable transportation
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Computer experience
- Permanent US citizenship
Training
- 609 AC certification
- Air brake certification
- Volvo engine certification
- Vermont state inspection license
- Motorcoach manufacturer factory training
- CDL license
- Cumins engine training
