Our reputable cabinet shop is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Part-Time Carpenter's Assistant. This is a unique opportunity for someone who values a highly flexible schedule and is eager to learn and grow in the woodworking and cabinet-making industry. You will play a key role in both on-site cabinet installations and workshop operations. This position is perfect for a college or high school student (age 18 ) or anyone looking for a dynamic and flexible part-time role.
Key Responsibilities
- On-site Cabinet Installation: Assist our team with the professional installation of high-quality custom cabinetry. This includes helping with lifting, leveling, and securing cabinets, and ensuring a clean, professional finish.
Workshop Support:
- Assist with the cleaning, organization, and general maintenance of the workshop.
- Lift and move cabinetry and raw materials.
- Help with deliveries and material handling.
- Based on your experience, assist with cabinet building and assembly in the shop.
- Tool Operation: Use and maintain a variety of basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
Schedule & Flexibility
This is a non-seasonal position with a highly flexible schedule. We are open and operating 7 days a week and will work with your availability.
- Installation Weeks: When a project is scheduled (with 2 weeks' notice), you can expect to work up to a full 40 hours.
- Non-Installation Weeks: You will have the opportunity to pick up 10-25 hours per week in the workshop.
- Shifts: Shifts typically range from 4 to 8.5 hours.

Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic knowledge of woodworking and carpentry is preferred.
- Experience using basic hand tools and power tools is required.
- Professional experience is a plus but not a requirement; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on your experience and the hours you work.
- Meals: Meals will be provided during installation days.
- Benefits: This is a part-time position and does not offer 401K or health benefits.
