We are a growing accounting firm seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with small businesses and takes pride in providing accurate financial information and exceptional client service.
The successful candidate will work with a variety of clients, handling bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax compliance, and financial reporting throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns.
- Perform monthly bookkeeping for multiple business clients.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements.
- Process payroll for business clients.
- Prepare and file all required payroll tax returns and reports, including federal and state monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
- Prepare year-end Forms W-2 and W-3.
- Prepare year-end Forms 1099 and related filings.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Communicate with clients regarding financial information and missing documentation.
- Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Pay & Benefits:
- $40,000 – $55,000 depending on experience, with the ability to go higher (up to $60,000) for candidates with 3 years of direct multi-client bookkeeping / payroll experience in a similar firm setting who require minimal training
