What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist Weekend Nights position at CUST-O-FAB?
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC drills and machines:
- Wear proper PPE at all times on shop floor and follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Read prints for required specifications and dimensions
- Measure parts using different measuring tools (tape measure, dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers)
- Remove slag using grinders
- Operate overhead cranes on daily basis to load machines with parts
- Cut supports to lengths needed using a hot saw
- Occasionally operate forklifts
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned, which may include performing basic tasks when such a need arises
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be a highly safety-oriented individual
- 2 years CNC Drill experience required
- Previous experience in the manufacturing and fabrication of shell & tube heat exchangers, pressure preferred vessels and/or towers
- Problem solving capabilities
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
- Verbal communication skills
- Ability to be punctual
- Ability to work overtime if needed
